KEGIATAN PENELITIAN SEBAGI USAHA UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PROFESIONALISME GURU  MATEMATIKA

Research is an activity to gain knowledge called science,performed by specific procedures that are systematic and supported by a methodology is an assessment of the rules in his method. As a teacher or prospective teacher's, we must always do discussion of how we gain knowledge about the learning mathematics. What topic? It ‘s about understanding of scientific
about the workings of the mind of individual students in learning mathematics, how gain an understanding of aspects of learning and how to understand the analogies between the student's knowledge, knowledge teachers and practitioners' knowledge about learning mathematics.

Apart from the formal legal aspects of the activity mathematics education research both by teachers, lecturers as well as by prospective teachers will give many benefits. With the study of mathematics education we can know the difference individuals or groups in the study the mathematics, we can determine the position students in a group, can compare learning outcomes between groups. We can also do a match between goals and outcomes of learning; whether the standard of competence or basic competence has been achieved? Research results can be used for improvements programs, counseling, provision of information to the public. Besides that we also can do a comparison between the performance and criteria for each dimension of the program and improvement program and the inference results of mathematics education as a whole.

More specifically, before learning of mathematics, teachers should do the following step:

a.    Planning for mathematics learning environment 20
1.     Determine the source of the necessary teaching
2.     To plan activities that are flexible
3.      Plan the physical environment of learning mathematics.
4.     Involve students in creating a learning environment of mathematics.
b.   Develop students' social environment
1.      To work together to plan activities.
2.      Encourage students to appreciate each other.
3.      Browse the students' feelings about mathematics
4.      Develop mathematical models.
c.    Plan mathematical activities

1.      Plan mathematical activities are balanced in terms of: material,
  time, trouble, activities, etc
2.      Plan mathematical activities that are open (open-ended)
3.      Plan activities according to student ability.
4.      Develop mathematical topics.
5.      Build mental math
6.      When and where help students?
7.      Use a variety of teaching brag (books vary).
