Memanfaatkan Microsoft Word 2007 Sebagai Media Pembelajaran Geometri di SMP

Teaching need creativity so that the learning process more interesting and students will easy to understand the material. We can use tools to help and to support our explanation to students. It can be just simple program like Microsoft word. Microsoft word can be use to help student easier to understand geometri, both plane geometry and solid geometry. Why Microsoft word? That program is always installed in all new computer type, and many teacher and student master dan familiar with that programs. The benefit employ Microsoft word in learning geometry is make student more interesting and understand well. The others, students can learn it self at home or class both individually or with group. Microsoft word can help student study deeply about geometry.  

How use Microsoft word to learn geometri? In Microsoft word, there is an facilitily named “shaped”. Many form can be made by this command. Both basic line, basic plane and basic solid form. As teacher, we can make illustration about how to understand degree, triangle, simillirity, circle and other shape about solid geometry. With menu “shape” we can manipulate the form has drawed. The manipulation can be rotate, drag, and we can change the size and we can coloring to make pictures more interesting.  

The other, we can learn tessellation with this program and create solid geometry such as cubes, cylinder, cone, etc. we can learn about the kinds of triangles consider the degree they have, such as acute triangle, obtuse triangle and, right triangle. We can reform triangle by bisection of diagonal square or trapezoid. We can explain about the concept of volum and surcafe of that shapes. We can use “textbox” to put the descriptions about how to count volum and surface. The last wecan explain about transformation, such as dilatation by using command “size” or reflection by using “flip to horizontal or vertical.  

Actually we can use simpe tools to help us explain material to our student. It have not the expensive tool or difficult one. Microsoft word make geometry more easy to understand.
